🔼 Watch List. Women’s basketball player Kara Dunn was named to the Preseason Watch List for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award. The award recognizes the top shooting guard in the nation. Dunn is a grad transfer from Georgia Tech. She was the team’s top scorer and an all-conference first-teamer.

🔼 Top 20. Men’s basketball player Rodney Rice was named to the Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Top 20 Preseason Watchlist. The award recognizes the top shooting guards in Division I men’s college basketball. Rice played at the University of Maryland last season. He helped them to the Sweet Sixteen, averaging 13.8 points and 2.2 rebounds per game.

🔼 Semifinalist. Safety Bishop Fitzgerald was selected as a semifinalist for the Paycom Jim Thorpe Award. The award honors the best defensive back in college football. Fitzgerald is one of the nation’s best defenders. He leads the nation in interceptions with five.

Today’s Top Tier Performance presented by ARCO is Reese Messer. The volleyball player was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week. Messer had a career-high 48 assists and 16 digs for her eighth double-double. This is her second time earning this honor this season.

USC Trojans Unite to Fight Blood Shortages

Join the USC Trojans in the nationwide We Give Blood drive to combat urgent blood shortages in the U.S. and inspire new donors. Every donation can save up to three lives.

 From August 27 to December 5, every blood donation logged helps USC compete for $1 million to support student and community health programs. Plus, donors will receive limited-edition Homefield t-shirts, while supplies last.
