🔼 HOF. Former USC baseball players Brent Strom and Bruce Gardner were named to the 2026 College Baseball Hall of Fame Class. Strom played from 1968-70. He threw a three-hit complete game in a 2-1 victory over Ohio State in the 1970 College World Series. Strom was selected third overall in the 1970 MLB Draft by the New York Mets. Gardner played from 1958-60. He compiled a 40-5 career record. He pitched a total of of 367.1 innings and threw 281 strikeouts.

Today’s Top Tier Performance presented by ARCO is all of the Trojan student-athletes! The student-athletes had a 3.298 spring GPA. The cumulative GPA was 3.277 which is a departmental record. There were 174 Trojans on the Dean’s Honor Roll. A total of 426 student-athletes earned a 3.00 term GPA or better. That is 74.6% of all student-athletes.
