The baseball team won its season opener over George Washington.

Good morning, Trojan Family. The Trojans gave us the best Valentine’s Day weekend a fan could ask for, with lots of wins. See all the USC dubs below!

🔼 Series Win! The baseball team opened its season with a series win over George Washington. The Trojans won 15-2, 9-8 and 7-5. In game one, the men scored 10 runs in the first inning. Caden Hunter picked up the win, only allowing one hit and one run in 4.1 innings pitched. In game two, the men had 12 hits and scored eight of their nine runs via home runs. Adrian Lopez had a grand slam. In game three, Brayden Dowd hit a go-ahead three-run homer.

🔼 Undefeated. The No. 1 water polo team beat No. 9 Long Beach 16-10. The Trojans are now 11-0 this season. Overall, the women had 34 shots. Ava Stryker led the team with four goals.

🔼 Wins! The women’s lacrosse team beat California 17-6. Maddie Dora recorded a new career high for both points and goals, as she had six points with six goals. The No. 24 Trojans went on to beat No. 21 Colorado 15-6. This is their first tanked win of the season.

🔼 Tight Game. The women’s basketball team had a close game against Washington. The Trojans won 69-64 after a huge 30-point fourth quarter. Kiki Iriafen led the team with 19 points. JuJu Watkins had 17 points.

🔼 Always Improving. The track and field team competed at the Tiger Paw Invitational. On day one, Johnny Brackins Jr. bettered his USC record by winning the 60m hurdles with a time of 7.48. On day two, Elias Gerald placed second in the men’s high jump with a clearance of 2.22m. He moved from fifth to fourth on USC’s all-time indoor high jump list.

Today’s Top Tier Performance presented by ARCO is the women’s tennis team. The women beat the University of San Diego 7-0. The Trojans had two doubles wins and five singles wins. The team is now 4-1 this season.
