📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Home Series. The baseball team opened its series against Rice with a 5-0 shutout on Friday. Mason Edwards tossed six hitless innings, and Will Stickney hit his first collegiate home run. The men then beat Rice 4-1 on Saturday. Grant Govel tossed another 6.0 scoreless frames, giving up just one hit while striking out a career high 11 batters. The men swept the series on Sunday, winning 4-2. The team is now 7-0 overall.

🔼 Road Win. The women’s lacrosse team beat UC Davis 12-11 for its first road victory of the season. Emma Bunting turned in her fourth-career hat trick performance with three goals. Hannah Barron, Hollis Mulry and Alex May each scored two goals. The women’s success halted there, falling to No. 2 Stanford 18-4 on Sunday. May and Mulry each scored two goals.

🔼 Champ Results. The No. 12 swim and dive team wrapped up the Big Ten Championship. On day three, 11 Trojans earned second swims across the five events including five A-finalists. On the final day, the Trojans finished in fifth place. Sage Miller took sixth in the 200 butterfly.

🔼 Win the Pool. The No. 3 women’s water polo team beat No. 16 San Jose State 19-8 on Saturday. Emily Ausmus led the team with four goals. Rachel Gazzaniga and Ava Stryker each added a hat trick. Goalkeeper Anna Reed had seven saves.

🔼 Beach Classic. The No. 4 women’s beach volleyball team competed in the Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Beach Classic this past weekend. On Friday, the team beat No. 16 Hawaii 4-1 and No. 9 Cal 3-2. The Trojans fell to UCLA 3-1 and Texas 3-2 on Saturday.

Today’s Top Tier Performance presented by ARCO is the men’s tennis team. The No. 14 men’s tennis team beat No. 22 UCLA 4-3 on Saturday. The Trojans won the doubles point and two singles matches to secure the victory.
