🔼 Semifinalist. Football player Bishop Fitzgerald was named a semifinalist for the Lott IMPACT Trophy. The award is presented annually to the nation’s top defensive player. Fitzgerald is one of eight semifinalists for the award. He leads the country in interceptions with five. The finalists for the trophy will be announced on Thursday, Nov. 20.

🔼 Fresh Moves. Women’s volleyball player Abigail Mullen was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week. Mullen picked up her sixth double-double that included a career high 17 digs. This marks the first weekly honor for Mullen. She totaled 29 kills, 25 digs and nine blocks in USC’s two wins against Northwestern and Washington.

🔼 Qualified. The women’s tennis team has six athletes who qualified for the NCAA Championships. Krisha Mahendran, Eugenia Zozyaya, Emma Charney and Janna Hossam secured spots in the NCAA Singles Championships. Duos Mahendran and Hossam and Lily Fairclough and Dani Borruel got a doubles NCAA bid.

Today’s Top Tier Performance presented by ARCO is Jazzy Davidson. The women’s basketball player was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week. Davidson recorded 14 points against New Mexico State and led the team with 21 points against No. 9 NC State.
