🔼 Advancing! The men’s volleyball team swept Vanguard 3-0 on Wednesday in the MPSF quarterfinals. The Trojans will face No. 2-seeded Pepperdine in the semifinals today at 4pm PT. Sterling Foley led all players with 12 kills. Dillon Klein reached double digits for the 81st time in his career and finished with 10 kills.

🔼 Opening Win. The beach volleyball team opened the MPSF Championship with a 3-1 win over California. The women will take on Stanford today in the second round at 10:15am PT. The No. 2, 3 and 5 spots won for USC.

🔼 Part 4. Men’s volleyball player Dillon Klein was named to the MPSF All-Conference First Team. Wesley Smith was named to the Second Team. Cooper Keane was selected to the All-Freshman Team. Johnny Dykstra, Sterling Foley and Parker Tomkinson received All-MPSF honorable mention.

🔼 Remembering Him. Former USC linebacker Rod Martin passed away. Martin was a Trojan letterman in 1975-76. Martin was drafted in the 12th round of the 1977 NFL Draft by the Raiders and played for the team from 1977-88. He earned Pro Bowl recognition twice during his career (1983 and 1984) and won two Super Bowls (XV and XVIII). In Super Bowl XV, Martin recorded a Super Bowl record three interceptions from Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Ron Jaworski, and returned them for 44 yards.

🔼 Honored. The women’s lacrosse team had four players earn Big Ten All-Conference honors. Sophie Gangemi and Hollis Mulry earned Second Team honors. Sydney Stewart was named to the All-Freshman Team. Asja Roberson earned USC’s Sportsmanship honor.
