🔼 Friday Night Lights. For the first time in program history, Trojan football will suit up for a game against Rutgers under the Friday night lights. It is the first time since 2004 that USC has played two opponents back-to-back that it hasn't played before. USC is coming into the game looking to bounce back from a close 29-28 loss against Maryland where quarterback Miller Moss went 34-50 for 336 yards, three touchdowns and an INT. On defense, Kamari Ramsey has stepped up in the past two games and is tied for fourth in the Big Ten with 19 total tackles.
🔼 Lots At Stake. The No. 6 USC women's soccer team plays its final regular season game this week, facing off with crosstown rivals No. 8 UCLA at noon on Sunday in a match that will decide the Big Ten regular season title. The Trojans come into Sunday's decisive matchup with 28 points and a two-point lead over UCLA in the Big Ten standings. A Trojans win or tie against the Bruins would clinch a conference title for the program. For USC, owners of two national championships, it would be the school's first conference title in soccer. The game will be played at the Dignity Health Sports Park Main Stadium, home of the LA Galaxy, with tickets free to the public.
🔼 Elite Eight. For the third time in his career, punter Eddie Czaplicki was named one of “Ray’s 8” for Week 8. Czaplicki had a notable week during last Saturday’s matchup against the Terrapins where he punted away five balls for an average of 47.8 yards per punt. He finished the game with a long of 53 yards and three kicks downed inside the 20-yard line.
This season, Abbott and the Big Ten are pitting school against school in the largest blood donation competition of our lifetime to fight the largest blood shortage in a generation.
Want USC to win? Then don't give up. Give blood. Every donation scores one point for your school on the leaderboard.
The winning school will receive $1 million to advance student or community health. Individual donors will be offered a free one-month subscription to B1G+ and will be entered to win a trip to the 2024 Discover® Big Ten Football Championship Game on December 7, 2024. Learn More and Give Blood Today.
