🔼 A Historic Night. USC women’s basketball set a program record on Tuesday night, taking down CSUN in dominating fashion. The Women of Troy put up 124 points, the most in program history as six Trojans finished with double-digits and 13 total put points on the board. JuJu Watkins led the team with 21 points and nine assists, six steals and three blocks while head coach Lindsay Gottlieb came away with her 300th career win as the leader of USC women’s basketball.
🔼 Two of the Best. USC women’s golf freshman Jasmine Koo and junior Catherine Park join a list of 25 golfers from around the country as part of the ANNIKA Award's Final Fall Watch List after wrapping up the fall season. Presented annually to the best player in women’s golf, the Trojan duo combined to win four tournaments in the fall and are ranked in the top five in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
🔼 Back At It. USC men's basketball continues its six-game home stand against the UT Arlington Mavericks tonight at 8 p.m. The new-look USC 2024-25 squad is 2-0 to start the season consisting of 16 new faces and two returning members of last year's team - including 11 recruited from the transfer portal. UT Arlington men's basketball won’t be an easy out as the team was picked to finish second by the WAC league's head coaches.
🔼 Remembering One of the Greats. John Robinson, one of USC's most popular and successful football coaches, passed away in Baton Rouge earlier this week at the age of 89. Robinson guided the Trojans to the 1978 national championship and into 8 bowl games and won 74.1% of his games while compiling a 104-35-4 record during 2 coaching stints spread over 12 years at Troy. He recorded more victories than any USC gridiron coach except John McKay and Howard Jones and was 4-0 in the Rose Bowl while earning 5 Pac-10 titles.
Today’s Top Tier Performance presented by ARCO goes to USC men’s water polo’s Stefan Brankovic. The sophomore earned his first award after being named the MPSF West Newcomer of the Week. Brankovic had two goals, two assists, three field blocks and a steal for USC in its 12-8 win over No. 14 UC Santa Barbara over the weekend.
