The Three Torches 12/28: Game, Set, Match

Today, the Trojans are SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl champions!

Good Morning, Trojan Family. The comeback kids of USC reminded the college football world that the Trojans are still a team that should not be taken lightly. USC capped off the season with a win that should build momentum heading into the offseason.

⚔️ ONE BIG THING

After falling behind 24-7 late in the third quarter, quarterback Jayden Maiava, wide receiver Ja’Kobi Lane, and the USC offense led a furious comeback to lead the Trojans to a 35-31 victory over Texas A&M. Maiava and Lane connected for two touchdowns in the second half, but it was Kyle Ford who scored the game-winner with eight seconds left. The ground game showed up in the second half as running back Bryan Jackson rushed for 66 yards and a score while A’Marion Peterson tacked on another 43 yards.

The Trojan defense stepped up when it counted, coming away with two interceptions from Akili Arnold and Kamari Ramsey, and holding the Aggies’ offense to one score in the fourth quarter. With the sun now setting on the 2024 season, the Trojans will head into the new year with some momentum as the team heads into 2025.
