🔼 National Signing Day. As USC football prepares for the 2025 season, 21 high school football players have signed with the Trojans during the December early signing period, head coach Lincoln Riley announced. Among the 21 players added during the early signing period are two five-star athletes as ranked by at least one of the following: 247Sports, On3, Rivals and/or ESPN as well as 12 four-star athletes.
🔼 Dynamic Duo. The 15 semifinalists for the MAC Hermann Trophy, college soccer's most prestigious award, were announced earlier this week, and USC's Brooklyn Courtnall and Helena Sampaio made the list. USC is one of two schools to have two players on the list and it is the first time in program history that two Trojans have been semifinalists for the award.
🔼 Tip Top Trojans. USC women's volleyball outside hitter Ally Batenhorst and senior setter Mia Tuaniga were named to the Big Ten all-conference first team while Leah Ford earned second-team honors and was on the all-freshman team. Additionally, libero Gala Trubint was selected as USC's Sportsmanship Honoree. Tuaniga earned her first All-Big Ten award, and Batenhorst and Ford each received their first-career all-conference awards.
🔼 Fight To The Finish. Trojan men’s basketball put up a fight in the program’s Big Ten debut, but in the end, fell 68-60 against the Oregon Ducks. Desmond Claude and Chibuzo Agbo combined for 40 points, but USC could not hold on to a seven-point halftime lead against the No. 12 team in the country. The Trojans will get another shot this weekend as the team takes on Washington on Saturday at 3 p.m.
🔼 Tourney Time. Winners of three straight MPSF Tournament championships, USC men’s water polo is on to its 20th consecutive NCAA appearance. The Trojans secured the No. 2 seed into this year's National Collegiate Men's Water Polo Championship and will open up with a quarterfinal bout against California Baptist at 4 p.m. on Friday. The 2024 NCAA championship game is set for 3 p.m. on Sunday as USC is aiming to capture the program's 11th men's NCAA crown and first since 2018.
