📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Ticket Punched. USC Track & Field freshman throwers Mico Lampinen, Max Lampinen and Tom Tersek advanced to the Track & Field National Championships. Tersek broke the freshman record in the javelin with a throw of 74.54m. Max qualified with a mark of 65.47m and Mico threw 68.99m in the hammer throw. After a day of qualifying events, Eddie Nketia, Jack Stadlman, Jake Andrews, and Yougendy Mauricette all advanced in their respective events. The NCAA West Regionals continue today in Fayetteville.

🔼 Runner-Up. The second-ranked USC women’s golf team concluded their season in the National Championship match with a 4-1 setback to No. 1 Stanford. Kylie Chong secured the point for the Trojans. The season concluded with eight tournament wins, first-ever Big Ten Individual and Team titles and the D1-leading 16th Regional title.

🔼 Mark Your Calendars. Kickoff times and TV networks have been set for the first four weeks of the USC football season. The season begins during week zero vs. San José State at 12 p.m. PT on NBC. The Trojans continue its start of three straight home games with Fresno State on Sept. 4 at 6 p.m. followed by Louisiana on Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. The team’s first road contest is at Rutgers on Sept. 19 at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.

🔼 Classroom Excellence. Seven USC men’s volleyball student-athletes were named to the MPSF All-Academic Team, recognizing the Trojans’ success both on the court and in the classroom. Senior Ryan Sprague highlighted the group with his third-career appearance on the team. Caleb Blanchette and Dillon Klein secured their second-career MPSF All-Academic honor. Four Trojans earned their first accolade on the team: Brad Pan, Wesley Smith, Johnny Dykstra and Christian Connell.
