🔼 Preseason Premonition. Both the Trojan men’s and women’s basketball squads are nearing their highly anticipated seasons, so it’s no surprise that each team is donning a couple of players who earned preseason accolades.

The Women of Troy have two student-athletes that were named to the Preseason All-Pac-12 Team including Rayah Marshall’s selection with Juju Watkins earning honorable mentions.

The men’s team had a trio of Trojans make Preseason All-Pac 12 teams including Boogie Ellis and Isaiah Collier on first team and Kobe Johnson on the second team. With all the hype surrounding these two programs, the Galen Center is going to be popping soon enough.

🔼 Pitch Perfect. Following a 2-0 week against the Oregon schools, both Hannah Dickinson and Angeles Escobar were awarded with Pac-12 Player of the Week honors. Dickinson was named the Goalkeeper of the Week after completing back-to-back clean sheets where she converted five saves across both matches. Escobar earned her award as the Defender of the Week after holding the line, allowing just 13 shots between the two matches and even coming up with an assist off a free kick.

These two, along with the rest of Trojan soccer, will be back in action to go for their seventh win in a row on Saturday afternoon.

🔼 Defending Home. Following the Women of Troy Invite, the Trojans were successful in defending their home court with Parker Fry and Naomi Cheong securing the doubles championship for USC women’s tennis. Not to mention, the Trojans picked up an additional seven wins in singles play.

Next up, the team will aim to keep their momentum for the ITA Southwest Regional Championship in San Diego next week.
