🔼 Cut Short. The Trojans put together a furious second-half comeback but ultimately fell just short against No. 14 Utah at The Coliseum on Saturday night. Running back MarShawn Lloyd produced explosive plays with a touchdown on 86 yards on the ground in just seven rushes. Wide receiver Tahj Washington led all receivers with 112 yards on five receptions. On defense, Mason Cobb led all defenders with nine total tackles while Calen Bullock picked up another interception on the season.

Next up, the Trojans will hit the road to face off against California.

🔼 Beach Dominance. All-American Megan Kraft and Madison White teamed up to go a perfect 7-0 at the AVCA Collegiate Beach West Qualifier to take home the title in the gold bracket. Kraft and White’s win earned them an automatic bid to play in the 2023 AVCA Collegiate Beach Pairs National Championship next month. In total, Trojan beach volleyball combined for 42 wins across three days in three flights of play.

🔼 Title Town. Mark another title win for the Trojans in the 2023-24 season. After a dominant showing on Sunday, the Women of Troy came out on top for a seven-stroke victory at the Stanford Intercollegiate. Catherine Park claimed the individual title with a 7-under par tournament total, her first title of her collegiate career.

🔼 Semi Sweet. The defending champ Peter Makk and the rest of USC men’s tennis put in work at the ITA Southwest Regional. Makk dominated competition, making it to the semifinals in singles play, but fell in the match to finish in the top-4 of the tournament.

Making it to the quarterfinals round was Wojtek Marek in both singles and doubles play, with teammate Sam Rubell as Marek’s other half. Next up, the Trojans will host the SoCal Intercollegiate Championships on their home court next weekend.

⚔️ ONE BIG THING

What a comeback(s)!

After falling back two sets to none, the Women of Troy dug their heels in and grinded out three straight winning sets to steal a victory from No. 4 ranked Washington State. It was the Trojans’ first win against a top-five opponent since the 2018 season. Skylar Fields led the charge for USC with 21 kills and 15 digs on the match while Mia Tuaniga dished out 48 assists and had 15 digs of her own.

And then, they did it again.

Trojan volleyball, again, came from behind to get a win against Washington to improve to 7-3 in Pac-12 conference play. Fields bested her Friday performance with 23 kills on the match, Tyrah Ariail came up big with eight blocks and USC improved to a perfect 8-0 at home this season.
