🔼 Three Cheers. Caleb Williams actually doesn't like to run with the ball, even though he's clearly exceptional at it—and when No. 9 USC football needed him to leave his comfort zone during an inspired challenge from Arizona, the Heisman Trophy winner got it done with his legs all the way into triple overtime.
“Just doing my job,” Williams said. “Whatever it takes to win a game.”
The junior rushed for three touchdowns before running for a two-point conversion in the third overtime—and No. 9 USC stopped Arizona's final attempt in a wild 43-41 victory on Saturday night.
🔼 Serve’s Up. Speaking of beating Arizona, USC women's volleyball completed a five-set win (24-26, 25-12, 25-20, 20-25, 15-9) over Arizona at McKale Center to finish the weekend on a high note. Skylar Fields led the way with 23 kills (4e, 46att) and .413 hitting to go with nine digs, one block, and a service ace. It was her 45th time in double-digit kills as a Trojan and her 25th time over the 20-kill mark.
🔼 Stayed In Their Lanes. We’re gonna need a bigger trophy cabinet. USC women's swimming and diving squad claimed the team title at the SMU Classic Invitational for the second consecutive year to open the 2023-24 season. USC's Justina Kozan (53 points) and Chris O'Grady (51 points) were named the women's and men's 'Swimmers of the Meet,' respectively, tallying more points than all other competing swimmers.

The Trojans got goals from four different players, moving to 9-2 overall and 5-0 in Pac-12 play—with Simone Jackson and Kayla Colbert striking in the first period, and then Helena Sampaio and Izzy Kimberly scoring in the second half.
