🔼 More Dubs. The Women of Troy basketball team slammed home a win in the team’s home opener with the largest attended crowd at the Galen Center since 2010 in a 67-51 victory. Juju Watkins and Rayah Marshall finished the game as the team’s high scorers with 18 points apiece as Watkins recorded her 50th point in just two games as a Trojan.

The Trojans will be back it at, looking to continue the win streak as they face off against Le Moyne this evening at 5:30pm.

🔼 Four of Five. In the second race of the season, and final one of 2023, USC rowing ended the fall strong as they finished first in four of the fives categories competed in.

🔼 Swords and Ducks. In the first game under new direction at the defensive coordinator position, the Trojans fought valiantly, but fell to No. 6 Oregon in Eugene.

Three different Trojans recorded a rushing touchdown, including quarterback Caleb Williams. Wide receivers Tahj Boyd and Brenden Rice each went over 80 yards receiving on the game, with Rice getting the sole score among the group. Next up, the Trojans will host crosstown rival UCLA in the final game of the season.

🔼 First Things First. Serving as hosts of the 2023 USC Fall Tournament, men’s volleyball opened up their first action of the season with two wins against UC Irvine and Concordia. The team will finish its brief fall play when UCLA hosts its own fall tournament on Nov. 19.

🔼 Weekend Split. This weekend, the Women of Troy split the weekend series against the schools out of Washington, improving to 11-5 in conference play. On Friday, USC volleyball showed up and finished the sweep against Washington behind Skylar Fields’ 22-kill match. Then on Saturday, the Trojans squared up against No. 9 Washington State and went the full five-set distance, but ultimately fell in a back-and-forth battle.

⚔️ ONE BIG THING

It was a 66th minute goal from the penalty spot that secured the 1-0 win for the Women of Troy as the Trojans will move on to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Helena Sampaio was the boot that gave USC soccer the lead in her eventual game-winning goal.

The defense stifled Grand Canyon all match long, allowing just four shots while goalkeeper Hannah Dickinson made a save to keep the match scoreless. The Trojans kept the ball away from Grand Canyon with 67% possession on the match. Next up, USC will face No. 1 seed BYU on Nov. 16.
