âď¸ ONE BIG THING
USC basketball hosted a pair of opponents on Sunday as both menâs and womenâs basketball tipped off at the Galen Center. Trojan menâs basketball faced off against Long Beach State while the Women of Troy squared off against UC Riverside.
đ The womenâs team stayed perfect after a solid 85-53 win where, you guessed it, Juju Watkins led all scorers with a game-high 27 points. Rayah Marshall was instrumental in the victory with a double-double, and the team as a whole finished the game shooting 55.9% from the field.
đ The menâs team battled for 40 minutes, but it wasnât enough as the game was decided in overtime. After an extra five minutes, the Trojans were unable to come away victorious in Bronny Jamesâ debut in an 84-79 loss against The Beach.
Each team will have the rest of the week off with the menâs team resuming regular season action on Dec. 17 against Auburn and the womenâs team on Dec. 18 against Cal State Fullerton.
