🔼 Sights Set. As USC baseball prepares its return to the diamond, the team announced the official 2024 schedule. Due to the ongoing construction of the new, state-of-the-art stadium at Dedeaux Field, the Trojans will prepare to play off-campus this season.

USC will open its 2024 campaign in Arizona at the MLB Desert Invitational on Feb. 16 and will then travel to Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas (home of the reigning World Series champion Texas Rangers) for the Kubota College Baseball Series on March 1. The Trojans have 27 home games on the slate, with 21 set to be played at OC Great Park, three midweek contests scheduled at LMU, and a three-game series against Oregon State starting on March 28 which will be played at UC Irvine.

🔼 Make It Ten. USC women’s basketball’s Juju Watkins made it a perfect 10 for 10 after taking home her most recent Pac-12 Freshman of the Week award. Watkins leads the Trojans this season in scoring and will be ready to get back to winning ways as she, and the rest of the team, get set to host the Washington schools at the Galen Center this week.

🔼 Defensive Don. Senior middle blocker Kyle Paulson was named as the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Defensive Player of the Week following his performance at the First Point Collegiate Challenge. Paulson—who was also named the Off the Block National Middle Attacker of the Week—garners the first MPSF weekly award of his career and marks the first MPSF award won by a Trojan since the 2023 season.

The Trojans' middle blocker produced a career-high 15.5 points in USC's win over Ball State and set a career mark with eight blocks. He added nine kills on just 10 swings to hit .800 and added two assists and two service aces to go with a career-high tying six digs.

🔼 Another Ride. USC lacrosse is to hit the field again after revealing its 2024 regular season schedule. The Women of Troy and reigning Pac-12 champions, will compete in a 16-game season that will include seven home games and nine on the road. In its final season in the Pac-12, the Trojans will take on usual foes such as California (Mar. 31), Oregon (Apr. 6) and Stanford (Apr. 13), as well as conference newcomers such as San Diego State (Apr. 27).

High Praise. USC men’s volleyball earned its first weekly award of the season thanks to Kyle Paulson’s efforts last weekend. It also marked the first of his collegiate career.

⚔️ ONE BIG THING

The word is out: Juju Watkins is very good at basketball. She has captured national attention from the start of the 2023-24 season and is now earning more thanks to her recent selection as one of 10 candidates for the 2024 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award — an award given to the nation’s top shooting guard.

She has led the No. 11 Trojans in every game she's played and has served up six 30-point games already to set a new record for such performances by a USC true freshman. The winner of the 2024 Meyers Drysdale Award will be presented on a to-be-determined date, along with the four other members of the Women's Starting Five.
