🔼 Weekend Sweep. The Women of Troy caught fire over the weekend and beat both Oregon State and Oregon to improve to 12-1 on the season and 2-1 in Pac-12 play. The win marked the 16th in a row for the Trojans at home in the Galen Center.

On Sunday, Juju Watkins and Player of the Game Rayah Marshall led the Trojans in scoring, combining for 33 points. Marshall also added nine rebounds and four blocks to the stat sheet. Next up, the Trojans will continue their run in the Pac-12 in a rematch against crosstown rival UCLA on Sunday at 2 p.m.

🔼 Six Straight Sets. The 12th-ranked Trojans opened up the 2024 season with a pair of sweeps over the weekend against Morehouse College and Fort Valley State.

On Friday’s 3-0 sweep against FVSU, redshirt junior Jack Deuchar had a career-high 11 kills with a .529 hitting percentage while outside hitter Riley Haine had an all-around match in his debut with six kills, four digs, three blocks and an ace.

On Saturday’s 3-0 sweep over Morehouse, the Trojans hit .614 as a team with freshman Jack Ebertin leading all players with eight kills. The 6-foot-11 middle blocker, Wes Smith, added five fills without an error and added three blocks.

Fresh off of a pair of wins, the Trojans will be back in action on Thursday as they prepare to take on Harvard at the Galen Center at 7 p.m.

🔼 Swimmer’s Sweep. The No. 4 ranked Women of Troy swept UNLV 168-89 to improve to a perfect 3-0 to start to season. The USC women opened the meet with a victory in the 200y medley relay as Justina Kozan, Kaitlyn Dobler, Genevieve Sasseville and Vasilissa Buinaia combined to clock a 1:41.04. Seniors Anicka Delgado and Kaitlyn Dobler each won a pair of individual events to add to the Trojans’ total.

⚔️ ONE BIG THING

Trojan trio Kobe Johnson, Isaiah Collier and Boogie Ellis all scored over 20 points en route to USC’s 93-79 win at home on Saturday night. The victory marked the second for the Trojans in Pac-12 play this season and improved their record to 8-7.

Collier finished with a game-high 26 points with four assists and three rebounds while Ellis was on fire from behind the arc on 6-8 shooting from three. Johnson completed his night with a career-high in points and five rebounds, assists and steals.

Undefeated in 2024, USC men’s basketball will look to keep things rolling as they conclude their three-game homestand with their game against Washington State.
