🔼 Another Won. After a close first half of play, USC women’s basketball turned it up in the third quarter to ensure the 81-64 victory over Arizona on its home court. The win improved the Women of Troy to 18-4 on the season and 8-4 in the Pac-12. Juju Watkins continued to show why she’s been regarded as one of the best in the game with another 30-point performance while Kayla Padilla was named Player of the Game for her 15-point, seven assist, one block efforts. USC will now hit the road for a pair of Pac-12 clashes, visiting Oregon at 7 p.m. on Friday in Eugene before heading to Corvallis to face Oregon State at noon on Sunday.

🏆️ Juju Watkins earns a record 12th Pac-12 Freshman of the Week award

🔼 Weekly Sweep. USC men's volleyball swept the weekly honors as sophomore outside hitter Dillon Klein was named the MPSF Offensive Player of the Week and freshman middle blocker Wesley Smith was chosen as the MPSF Defensive Player of the Week. The awards marked the first time this season the Trojans have swept the weekly honors and the first time since 2022. Klein collected 31 kills and hit .391 to help the Trojans split matches while Smith matched his career-high with eight blocks in the back-to-back outings.

🔼 Pow Pow. Trojan attacker Ella Heaney was named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week, and sophomore midfielder Kate Gerrity was chosen for the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week following their outings over the weekend. Heaney posted a new career-high for goals as she put together a six-goal and three-goal outings. Her second goal of the first game put her in elite company, as she became the eighth player in USC history to accumulate 100 career goals. Gerrity excelled in her first two career starts for the Trojans as she helped cause six turnovers en route to the perfect opening weekend.

🔼 Gaming At Galen. USC men’s basketball will host Utah at the Galen Center on Thursday at 8 p.m. for the team’s first home game in nearly two weeks. Heading into the matchup, USC has averaged 75.7 in its last three games after averaging 62.5 points in its previous six. USC scored 70 or more points in 14 of its first 15 games and averaged 78.9 points per game in that stretch.

⚔️ ONE BIG THING

Senior Caroline Famous earned back-to-back Pac-12 Swimmer of the Week honors following her huge performance this past weekend against crosstown rival UCLA. Contributing 22 individual points to the Trojans’ final score, she claimed two individual events, set one pool record, and helped USC to a relay win. Famous claimed the 100y back in a pool record time of 51.82, won the 100y butterfly (51.93) and helped USC to the victory in the 200y medley relay.
