🔼 Swords Up. USC’s Boogie Ellis scored 18 of his 24 points in the first half as the Trojans defeated UCLA 62-56 on Saturday night to gain a split in the crosstown rivalry. The victory earned head coach Andy Enfield his 216th victory at USC, tying him with Bob Boyd for third on the program's all-time coaching win list. Both Isaiah Collier and Kobe Johnson finished in double figures as the duo recorded 11 and 10 points, respectively. Now, the Trojans will take a visit to Washington State with some momentum for the Thursday night matchup.

🔼 To The Wolves. The Women of Troy dropped their first game of the season 9-3 against No. 6 Michigan. Senior Shelby Tilton recorded all three of the Trojans’ goals for her 14th hat-trick in her career, and goalkeeper Kait Devir had six saves on the match, tying her season high. Up next, USC lacrosse will head back to the East Coast as they face Towson at 3 p.m. on Friday.

🔼 Gold Medal Dual. The No. 1-ranked USC beach volleyball team fell to crosstown rival No. 2 UCLA with a 4-1 result in the gold medal dual in the Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Beach Classic on Queen's Beach. The Trojans recorded four wins en route to the final match, including wins over Loyola Marymount, Hawaii and UCLA. After getting a point from the No. 3 position comprised of Maddi Kriz and Grace Seits, the Trojans were unable to come away with any more points. The Trojans return to the mainland to co-host the Battle for Los Angeles next weekend

🔼 Home Split. After coming away with a win against No. 11 Colorado on Friday, the Women of Troy were unable to finish the Galen Center sweep on Senior Day, falling to Utah 74-68. Friday’s contest saw star JuJu Watkins finish with 42 points as the Trojans earned a high-profile win. Against Utah, the Trojans kept it close all game long, drawing to within three points with 15 seconds left, but after knocking down a couple of free throws, the Trojans were handed only their fifth loss of the season.

🔼 Series Winners. USC baseball took its first series win of the season against Portland with a 10-4 win over the Pilots on Sunday afternoon in Irvine. The Trojans posted a season-high in runs and hits a day after picking up their first win on the walk-off double from Ethan Hedges. Ryan Jackson and Carson Wells each had two-hit days with two RBI each as seven different Trojans hit safely. USC will host Michigan on Tuesday at LMU and then will head to the Lone Star State for the Kubota College Baseball Classic at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

⚔️ ONE BIG THING

Over the weekend at The Ken Shannon Last Chance Invitational, USC track and field came away with seven event wins and three meet records. On the first day, Johnny Brackins Jr. won the men's 60m hurdles, Travis Williams the men's 60m dash, Jassani Carter the women's 200m and Max Thomas the men's 200m, and on the second day, Elias Gerald won the men's high jump, Nathan Cumberbatch won the men's 800m race and the men's 4x400m relay won with a meet and facility record, and Marne Sullivan bettered her school record in the indoor 800m race.

The Trojans are scheduled to open the outdoor season on March 1-2 at the Beach Opener while USC's athletes who qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships will be in action on March 8-9 at the 2024 NCAA Indoor Championships.
