🔼 Fabulous Freshman. No. 3 USC women’s basketball’s JuJu Watkins is the Tamika Catchings Award winner as the USBWA National Freshman of the Year, the first Trojan to win the award since its inception in 1992!
And as if that honor wasn’t enough, Watkins was also named a First-Team All-American by the USBWA and Sporting News on Tuesday, becoming just the sixth Trojan to earn that distinction and first since 1996.
🔼 Road Winner. Propelled by a five-run third inning, USC baseball went on the road Tuesday night and beat Long Beach State, 7-3.
The Trojans got contributions from all up and down their lineup, as Ryan Jackson, Jacob Galloway, Braden Dowd, Ethan Hedges and Abbrie Covarrubias all drove in one run.
🔼 Brooms On The Beach. After beating Concordia and No. 12 Hawai’i on Tuesday, No. 1 USC now has a 14-dual win streak, the fifth-longest in program history.
The Women of Troy swept both the Golden Eagles and Rainbow Wahine, collecting their 11th and 12th sweeps of the season.
🔼 All Roads Lead to Athens. No. 5 USC women’s swimming and diving is all set to begin competition today at the 2024 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in Athens, Ga.
A pair of relays — the 200-yard medley relay and 800-yard freestyle relay — will kick off the event today at 3pm.
