🔼 Paving A Way. A No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1986, the Women of Troy made history again after punching a ticket to the Sweet 16 for the first time in 30 years. The Trojans are off to the Portland Regional this week, setting up for a Sweet 16 clash with No. 5 seed Baylor at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. USC’s two wins in the NCAA Tournament thus far have been by 32 points and 18 points, something that is sure to change as the team goes further and further through the bracket.
🔼 It’s Tee Time. The Women of Troy take on their third stroke play event of the spring season at the PING/ASU Invitational after finishing third in a shortened Juli Inkster Invitational. The No. 6-ranked Trojans will take on eight other top-25 programs including top-ranked Stanford and the crosstown rival Bruins. The first round will begin Thursday at 8 a.m. PT start time with the final round being played on Saturday, Mar. 30.
🔼 Home Again. The Trojans close out a home-and-home with Pepperdine on Saturday night at Galen Center. USC will look to avenge the loss earlier this month against the No. 8-ranked team on its home court. The Trojans are currently sixth in the MPSF standings with five regular-season matches remaining on the schedule. With the Waves just two spots ahead, USC can make waves itself with an end-of-season win streak.
🔼 Top Tier Test. Trojan baseball will welcome No. 2 Oregon State to Irvine, Calif., for a three-game series starting tonight at 6:30 p.m. Taking the mound for game one will be Caden Aoki who has now put together back-to-back stellar starts that have included 12 innings pitched with just nine hits given up. Jacob Galloway will be looking to make an impact as he has been leading the Trojans at the plate all season. Galloway is hitting a team-high .356 on the year and leads the team with 25 RBI and a 1.022 OPS.
