Good morning! Heading into the NCAA Indoor Championships, USC men’s track and field was selected as one of the tournament’s ‘dark horse’ teams to come away with the trophy after all is said and done. Both Trojan track and field teams will compete for medals this weekend in Boston.

🔼 Survive and Advance. The Women of Troy are moving on to the semifinals of the Pac-12 Tournament after a 65-62 win over Arizona. USC’s first contest of the postseason saw the team rally for the win as JuJu Watkins led the team with 17 points and Rayah Marshall tacked on a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds. The Trojans are appearing in the semifinal round for the first time since the 2013-14 season where USC ended up winning it all.
🔼 Desert Times. No. 3 USC beach volleyball team heads to Arizona where the Trojans are 32-1 and have won their last 25 duals. The Women of Troy will face No. 14 Washington, No. 19 Arizona, Utah, and Oregon in the Pac-12 South Invitational. The last time out, the Trojans picked up 5-0 sweeps in three matches and finished the weekend with a home-win streak of 22 matches.
🔼 Milestone Win. The 12th-ranked USC men's volleyball team collected a four-set win over No. 9 Penn State in the first match of the Pac-12/Big Ten Challenge at the Galen Center. The victory marked head coach Jeff Nygaard’s 100th career win in his ninth year with the Trojans. Three Trojans reached double-digit kills with Jack Deuchar leading the way with 14 kills. Freshman Caleb Blanchette dished out 40 assists and guided the Trojans to a .238 hitting percentage to go with five digs and a team-high three service aces. USC will continue the Pac-12/Big Ten Challenge as the team takes on Ohio State.
🔼 Shooting Clinic. USC men’s basketball picked up a win in its penultimate matchup of the regular season against Arizona State, 81-73. The Trojans pulled away from the Sun Devils thanks to their 50% shooting from beyond the arc. Boogie Ellis led all scorers on the night with 28 points, including 6-for-8 from the 3-point line. Kobe Johnson tacked on another 15 points and DJ Rodman finished with 11 points. The Trojans will host Arizona on Saturday night for the final home game of the regular season.
🔼 Finally Home. The Women of Troy return home from its East Coast trip to face off against Temple on Friday at 1 p.m. USC is currently ranked No. 16 in the ILWomen/IWLCA week three poll with a 5-2 record on the season thus far. Shelby Tilton recorded her 100th career point against Hofstra after a four-goal game. The senior captain has five hat tricks in the seven games played this year. Isabelle Vitale now ranks second in program history with 89 career assists after her game against Villanova, where she tallied four assists.

JuJu Watkins secured her first major national honor with The Athletic's selection of Watkins as National Freshman of the Year. It's the first time a USC women's basketball player has earned this award, making another mark for Watkins in the USC history books in the early goings of her Trojan career. And on March 7, The Athletic also announced Watkins as a member of its All-America First Team. Watkins led the No. 5 Trojans in scoring in 25 of the 27 games that she played while notching a new USC record with her 12 games of 30 or more points scored.
