🔼 A For Effort. This weekend at the Center of Effort Challenge, USC beach volleyball finished 3-1 to improve to 27-4 on the season. The No. 2-ranked Women of Troy made quick work of Pepperdine , Long Beach State and TCU, taking 14 out of 15 sets across the three matches, but fell to top-ranked UCLA, 3-2, in the final match of the tournament. USC will look to exact revenge on Thursday against the Bruins as the team closes out the regular season.

🔼 Felt The Thunder. The Thunderbird Collegiate, with one of the top fields in collegiate golf this year, proved to be tough work for the improving Trojan men’s golf team. In the final regular season tournament of the year, USC wrapped up with a 17th-place team finish. Senior Krando Nishiba continued his solid play, with an even-par round including three birdies to open up his tournament. The Pac-12 Championships are next in line, starting April 26.

🔼 Scoring Surge. USC women's water polo captured another key MPSF win behind a career-high four goals from sophomore Morgan Netherton, who helped pace the Trojans to a 14-10 win on the road against No. 10 Arizona State. The Women of Troy shut out the Sun Devils in the second period while amassing an 8-0 scoring surge to take control of the game. At 17-5 this season, the Trojans get back to home waters next week to set up for a Senior Day matchup against rival UCLA.

🔼 Battle Of The Giants. In a battle for the top spot in the Pac-12 standings, USC fell to Stanford in a close, 8-6, loss on the road. Goalkeeper Kait Devir had an exceptional game, allowing just eight goals and posting seven saves to give her a .467 save percentage. Ella Heaney continues to be the top-points-getter for the Women of Troy as she had three with two goals and one assist in the outing. The Women of Troy return to action next Sunday as they face Colorado on Senior Day at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum.

🔼 Steady Waters. The USC women's rowing team finished third in all races on the last day of the Ivy League Invitational. USC entered three boats in the invitational: Varsity Four, Second Varsity Eight, and Varsity Eight, and competed against Princeton and Rutgers.

🔼 Senior Success. USC men’s tennis was led by its seniors for the team’s first Pac-12 win of the season, topping California on Friday night. In their last home matches at USC, Sam Rubell finished up with a straight-set win, and senior Lodewijk Weststrate, on court two, clinched the match in a three-setter as he won, 6-1, 2-6, 6-0. The Trojans closed out the weekend with a loss to Stanford and will return to the court tomorrow to face off against the crosstown rivals.

🔼 Overn and Out. USC baseball’s Austin Overn scored three of the four runs and robbed a homer as the Trojans pulled out a win in the series finale at No. 18 Oregon, winning 4-2. William Watson got the start and tossed 5.0 innings to pick up the win. He allowed two runs on three hits while striking out three. The win moved the Trojans to 10-7 in Pac-12 play with a little over a month left of the regular season.

The USC women’s tennis team remains in contention for the Pac-12 title following the 4-0 sweep of Oregon over the weekend. The win improves the Women of Troy to 17-6 on the season and 8-1 in Pac-12 play. The Trojans remain atop the conference standings and will play UCLA next Friday for a chance at a regular season title.
