🔼 Hot Start. The Trojans’ inaugural Big Ten matchup has been set as USC football will head to The Big House on September 21 to face the reigning national champion Michigan Wolverines. USC will also visit Minnesota, Maryland, Washington and UCLA on the road as part of its conference schedule.

🔼 Big Boy Bats. The Trojans extended its win streak to three games after the offense got going in a big way to beat Gonzaga, 15-3. USC’s 15 runs scored ties for the second-most runs the Trojans have finished with all season long. Seven batters finished with two or more hits on the night with Kevin Takeuchi leading the way with four RBI on a pair of doubles. Brayden Dowd finished perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two RBI and two walks.

USC will now shift focus to Utah as the Trojans host their final Pac-12 series of the regular season.

🔼 Leader of Women. USC women’s tennis’ Eryn Cayetano was named as one of four finalists for the ITA Ann Lebedeff Leadership Award ahead of her appearance in the NCAA Championships. The award, as endowed by Billie Jean King, was created to honor a recent college graduate who played college tennis, demonstrated excellence in all aspects of being a student-athlete, was a leader on his or her team, and was an influential contributor on his or her college campus and community.

🔼 Postseason Waters. USC rowing will travel to Sacramento to race in the 2024 Pac-12 Championship on May 19 at Lake Natoma. The Trojans will enter boats in four categories: the Varsity Four, the Third Varsity Eight, the Second Varsity Eight, and the Varsity Eight.  In the 2023 Pac-12 Championship, USC came home with two fourth-place finishes, one fifth-place finish, and a seventh-place finish.

USC men’s basketball will open up the season in one of college basketball’s most prestigious tournaments, the Maui Invitational. The Eric Musselman era will begin with a test in Lahaina, Hawaii, and will feature an eight-team field that includes the likes of Baylor, Final Four participant, NC State, and Texas. The Trojans will be playing in their third Maui Invitational as the team also participated in 1999 and 2012.
