Good morning! They say you have to beat the best to be the best, but what happens if the best is already all around you? I guess that means USC is just going to have to prove it that its the best in the Golden State once next season begins.

š¼ Championship Recap. The Trojans capped off the 2022-2023 athletic calendar in style at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Tade Ojora finished out his season as one of the best Trojans to ever compete in the 110-meter hurdles. After posting a time of 13.29, Ojora moved into second on USCās all-time list in the event. With the time, he found himself on the podium after placing fourth.
Elias Gerald, in his championship debut, posted a ninth place finish in the high jump with a clearance of 2.16 meters. He was the highest finisher among freshman in the event, and didnāt go away empty handed after receiving Second Team All-American status.
Elite hept-athlete Allie Jones came away from the championships with a fourth place finish in the heptathlon for the second consecutive season. She came away with 6,052 total points and became the first Trojan since 2009 to score in the event.
Temi Ojora closed out her championships with a sixth place finish in the triple jump with a distance of 13.66 meters. She became a two-time All-American following the finish, and is just one of two Trojans to score in the event in the last 20 years.
Caisja Chandler capped off her season with a sixth place finish in the 200-meter dash after posting a time of 22.37. She became the ninth Trojan since 2016 to earn All-American honors after her First Team All-American award.
The womenās 4Ć400 relay team of Bailey Lear, Christine Mallard, Caisja Chandler, and Yemi John finished out the championships with a fourth place finish in the final event of the meet. The team posted a time of 3:27.42 to help the womenās team jump 10 spots to finish 15th overall in the championships.
š¼ Climbing The Mountain. Rising star McKenna Koenig showed out this season, and earned the Trojanās most improved player award for her clutch efforts. After appearing in the ITA singles rankings for the first time earlier this season, she finished with a total of 23 singles wins, 10 doubles wins, and clinched four matches for USC.
