🔼 Big Wins. USC's Jasmine Jones, Quincy Watts, Joanna Hayes and Jeff Petersmeyer all were named U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association West Region award winners.
👟 Jones, the region’s Women’s Track Athlete of the Year, won the NCAA 400m hurdles title and placed fourth in the 100m hurdles to lead USC to a 10th-place tie at the 2024 NCAA Championships. Her winning 400m hurdles time of 53.15 shattered the championship record, set the USC school record and is the second-fastest time ever in the event by a college athlete.
👟 Watts, the region’s Men’s Head Coach of the Year, led the Trojan men to a third-place finish at the 2024 NCAA Track & Field Championships, the team's highest finish since 2003.
👟 Hayes, the West region’s Women’s Assistant Coach of the Year, guided three Trojans to an All-American finish, including Jasmine Jones to the NCAA title.
👟 Petersmeyer, the NCAA West Region Men’s Assistant Coach of the Year, guided Trojans JC Stevenson to the NCAA men's long jump title and Johnny Brackins Jr. to a fourth-place finish.

In the first game of the 2023 season, quarterback Caleb Williams escaped from trouble and launched a 76-yard touchdown pass to Tahj Washington — the longest touchdown, and pass completion, of the season. The Trojans secured its first win of the season, 56-28.
