🔼 Headed to Paris. The third day at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials saw former Trojan Kendall Ellis qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics. Ellis won the women’s 400m national title to punch her ticket to Paris later next month with a personal record of 49.46, going from fourth to first over the final 100m. Ellis will participate in her second Olympic Games after making the 2020 Tokyo Olympic team in the relays.

🔼 So Golden. Representing the United States, Trojan women’s basketball’s incoming freshmen Kayleigh Heckel and Kennedy Smith teamed up to help Team USA win gold at the 2024 FIBA U18 AmeriCup. The duo helped keep the USA’s streak of titles alive after winning the 11th straight in an 11-point victory over Canada.

Both McDonald's All-Americans, Heckel and Smith are two members of USC's top-ranked freshman class who will join forces with their fellow Women of Troy for the coming 2024-25 campaign.

🔼 All Aboard. In his first couple months with USC, men’s basketball head coach Eric Musselman has revamped the 2024-25 roster to include 12 new scholarship players and 16 first-time Trojans overall. After assembling an elite coaching staff, the team got to work and recruited the likes of Chibuzo Agbo, Saint Thomas, Josh Cohen, and many more.

In Caleb Williams’ final season at USC, the No. 1 overall pick finished his 2023 season with a 68.6% completion percentage. Through his 12 starts, Williams had 302.8 yards per game, 30 touchdowns, and only five interceptions.
