🔼 New Schedule Just Dropped. The Women of Troy recently learned their foes for this upcoming season as the women’s volleyball program gets ready to make some noise. The road to the postseason starts August 25th against Houston as the Trojans will start the season with five road games.

The first home game will come during the Trojan Invitational from September 8-10 as USC will host Marist, San Diego, and UC Davis. In total, the Trojans will face off against 14 different NCAA Tournament teams from last season, including five non-conference opponents who all held an eight seed or higher. As always, the regular season will wrap up with crosstown rival UCLA on November 24th.

🔼 Power Rankings. In what will be the final installment of the Trojans journey to winning the Pac-12, the experts over at PFF are feeling confident that USC can finish the season on top. The Trojans will head into the season as PFF’s No. 1 ranked football program in the Pac-12, and it would be a surprise to no one to see USC at the top of most people’s lists.

🔼 Going Pro. Freshman tennis standout Maddy Sieg penned an open letter to USC announcing her decision to leave early and pursue a professional career. The two-time All-American and NCAA Singles and Doubles semifinalist certainly left her mark on the Trojans in her short time here.

🗣️ “Thank you so much to the best teammates, coaches, support staff and athletic administration who helped make my year so memorable and successful.” - Maddy Sieg

⚔️ ONE BIG THING

The hits just keep coming. USC men’s basketball has added forward Brandon Gardner to its corp of players looking to make a run at it all this upcoming season.

The 6-foot-8 freshman was named the Basketball Coaches Association of New York Inc’s ‘Mr. Basketball’ after averaging 12 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks per game as a senior in high school this year. With the addition of Gardner, USC now boasts the No. 4 recruiting class in the country according to On3. Head coach Andy Enfield has put together one heck of a recruiting clinic this offseason.

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: 14-2!

The Trojans had 14 of their 22 wins at home last season. With nearly two-thirds of their total wins coming from the Galen Center, it isn’t much of a question on where you should go if you want to see a Trojan win next year.

Have a great Wednesday, everyone!
