🔼 Hardware Coming Home. During the first day of the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, the USC men’s track and field team took 19 points to finish the day in the lead through six of the 21 events. JC Stevenson won the men’s long jump title with a personal-best leap of 26-11.25 feet in his final attempt. His title in the long jump is the first from a Trojan since 1977. Johnny Brackins Jr. took fourth in the same event, and Nikolaos Polychroniou placed fifth in the men's hammer throw to become a two-time All-American.

Today will be the first day of the women's competition at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, beginning for the Trojans at 6:32 p.m. with the women's 100m hurdles. 

🔼 Not An Island. The latest signee to join USC men’s basketball comes with a multitude of accolades. Saint Thomas, a transfer from Northern Colorado, will be welcomed to Los Angeles after posting a season with 19.7 points and 9.8 rebounds per game — just one of four players to post those numbers or better. The forward shot 47.2 percent from the field en route to being named the Big Sky Newcomer of the Year and a selection to the conference’s first team.

⚔️ ONE BIG THING

After another season of leading his team to an NCAA Championship appearance, USC women’s golf head coach Justin Silverstein has signed a contract extension through the 2028-29 season.

🗣️ "I'm excited and honored to sign another extension with USC to keep me here for the foreseeable future. I want to thank Jen Cohen and Paul Perrier for believing in me and supporting our program to the fullest extent possible. We have a bright future and I look forward to leading this program to new heights." - Justin Silverstein

During his tenure, Silverstein has led the Women of Troy to 23 tournament wins, including an NCAA-record seven in his first year at the helm. In that span, he boasts at least one win in the postseason every year, with three Pac-12 titles and three NCAA Regional championships.
