🔼 Another One. Head coach Lindsay Gottlieb just keeps on adding to the Trojan Family. The most recent addition: graduate transfer Roxane Makolo out of TCU.

The Canadian guard joins the team after her comeback season in Fort Worth, Texas with the Horned Frogs. Shea averaged nearly six points and four rebounds per game after taking a couple of seasons to rehab an injury sustained during her freshman campaign.

The former gold medal champion at the FIBA U16 Americas is bringing her grit and grind mentality to add more depth and more fire power to an already loaded incoming squad.

🔼 Moving On Up. A pair of Trojan staff members were given the nod and were promoted within each of their fields this past weekend. Let’s dive into who we will be seeing more of for both volleyball and rowing programs.

🏐 Megan Moenoa will join the Trojans women’s volleyball staff as its third full-time assistant coach for this upcoming season. After accompanying the team in Brazil, Coach Moenoa is well versed on the team and what to come for the upcoming 2023 season.

🚣‍♀️ Martina Vlatkovic was elevated to become the associate head coach of the women’s rowing team. After being a part of the program since 2018 and guiding the Trojans to back-to-back NCAA berths, the promotion was well earned.

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: 1978!

Following the 1978 season, 13 players from the Trojan baseball program were selected in the MLB Draft. Among the names are first round selection Rod Boxberger and the three Dave’s (Van Gorder, Engle, and Hostetler).

If you guessed 2016, you were close as 12 players were drafted to the MLB from that team.

Have a great Monday, everyone!
