🔼 Going to The Show. A pair of USC baseball players have been selected in the 2024 MLB Draft. Powerhouse Austin Overn was chosen by the Baltimore Orioles in the third round of the draft while pitcher Will Watson is headed to the New York Mets after a seventh-round selection.

⚾️ In his sophomore season, Overn led the Trojans with eight home runs and 17 stolen bases. He was the only player to start all 59 games during the 2023 season.

⚾️ Watson posted a 3.93 ERA in 50.1 innings pitched this season after leading the team in wins on the mound. He finished with a 5-2 record while striking out 46 batters and only allowing a .234 opponent batting average.

🔼 Coaching Addition. USC women's water polo has added another key coach to its staff by bringing on Jackie Puccino, who brings over a decade of experience to her role as an assistant coach at USC. Puccino joins head coach Casey Moon and assistant coach Stephen Loomis as the trio preps the Women of Troy for the coming 2025 season, where USC will look to extend its run of NCAA appearances to 21 in a row.

🔼 Making A Splash. Incoming Trojan diver Kate Miller is headed to the 2024 Paris Olympics to represent Team Canada. The soon-to-be Woman of Troy will go from going for gold to joining a top-eight finisher at the 2023 National Championships.

🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF

47 days until kickoff, Trojan Family!

We are a Clay Matthews number of days out until USC football takes the field for the start of the 2024 season. A Trojan from 2004-2008, Matthews earned the bulk of his playing time during his final season. Among a loaded linebacker unit that included Brian Cushing, Rey Maualuga and Kaluka Maiava, Matthews recorded 57 total tackles, nine TFLs and 4.5 sacks in his senior year. The eventual first-round NFL draft pick went on to an illustrious career as a pro, and the rest, as they say, is history.
