🔼 Newest Newcomer. The No. 22 ranked junior in his class, Nicolas Dominguez Alvarez, will be heading to LA to join the Trojan golf program. This will be head coach Mark Hankins’ first signee since joining USC.

🗣️ “We are excited to have Nicolas join our team this fall. He is one of the top ranked junior in the world and will look to contribute immediately this fall season.” - Head Coach Mark Hankins

Dominguez has made his name known throughout the Mexican circuit with all three of his tournament wins happening on Mexican soil. Through his 23 events on the junior tour, he’s cracked the top 10 in 17 events. A new culture is coming to USC men’s golf, and the junior is ready to contribute.

🔼 Lax-ademics. For the second year in a row, USC lacrosse has found themselves on the IWLCA Academic Honor Squad. After having nine Trojans be selected to the DI Academic Honor Roll, it was no question that this team would receive this honor for the seventh time in nine years.

⚔️ ONE BIG THING

Today, we want to take a minute to remember former USC women’s tennis head coach, Dave Borelli.

Borelli, the Trojans’ coach from 1974-1988, finished his time in LA with an astounding .870 winning percentage that included 302 victories and seven women’s national championships. Each of USC’s women’s tennis titles came when Coach Borelli was the head of the team.

In addition to his role of head coach, Borelli served as the chair of the National Collegiate Tennis Coaches Committee, the Pac-10 Coaches Committee and was on the board of directors for the Central California Tennis Association.

His passion for the game was exemplified through his work with his teams, and clearly, Dave Borelli knew a thing or two about how to succeed in the greatest passion of his life.

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: 5-0!

The Trojans have only played against the Spartans four times, but have come out on top in each match up. Most recently, the Trojans handled SJSU with ease after a 30-7 victory that saw touchdowns from Tahj Washington, Erik Krommenhoek and defensive back, Greg Johnson.

Have a great weekend, everyone!
