🔼 The Best Man. Our guy Caleb Williams is nominated for an ESPY as the Best College Athlete, Men’s Sports. If we could get everyone reading this to vote just once, Mr. Heisman would get a cool 50,000 votes in just the blink of an eye. Go vote for Caleb now, and tune on on Wednesday, July 12th to see if he takes home the hardware.

🔼 Queens of the Court. The four-time USC beach volleyball All-American showed her stuff overseas and captured royalty status on the sand. Tina Graudina teamed up with partner Anastasija Samoilova to win the title of Queen of the Court Luxembourg.

The two Olympians came away with their third continental title in four years, including this same title just before they competed in the Tokyo Olympic Games. The pair took out a a field of 20 to get their crowns.

🔼 From College to Country. USC track and field will be well represented in this year’s USATF Outdoor Championships with an expected 15 members from USC’s 2023 squad competing in the event as well as 10 Trojan alumni.

Making the world championships won’t be easy as participants have to finished in the top three of an event to move on, but it’s nothing we haven’t seen before from our Trojan student-athletes. Competing in the competition are All-Americans Allie Jones and Bailey Lear, as well as standouts Johnny Brackins Jr., Caisja Chandler, and Jan’Taijah Jones.

⚔️ ONE BIG THING

After the first round of action at the U.S. Women’s Open, USC’s own Amari Avery sits in a tie for ninth place in her second ever major appearance. The Trojan golf phenom shot a round of 70 in the opening round of the tournament at a chilly Pebble Beach, and with three more rounds like yesterday’s performance, history could be in the making.
