🔼 Watch Out. Trojan defensive tackle Bear Alexander was named to the 2024 Chuck Bednarik Award Watch List, an award presented annually to the most outstanding defensive player in college football. Alexander will once again be a force to be reckoned with in the trenches on the defensive line as a junior in 2024. He also earned placement on the 2024 Bronko Nagurski Trophy and Outland Trophy Watch Lists. Additionally, he made the Phil Steele 2024 Preseason All-American Fourth Team, as well as the Phil Steele Preseason All-Big Ten Second Team and Athlon Sports Preseason All-Big Ten Second Team. 

🔼 Through One. The first round is final from the 124th U.S. Amateur, and USC golf has a trio of men in the hunt entering day two. Gavin Aurilia leads the trio of Trojans competing this week at 1-over par while Antonio Safa and Stewart Hagestad sit not far behind after firing rounds of three and four over par through 18 holes. The three golfers will have a chance today to crack into the top 64 and move on to the match-play portion of the tournament.

🔼 Back In The Poll. Heading into the first season in the Big Ten and head coach Lincoln Riley’s third season, the USC Trojan football team came in at No. 23 in the Preseason AP Poll. The Trojans received 172 votes to climb into the top 25 teams in the nation as the team awaits its first matchup of the season against LSU on September 1.
