Good morning! There’s nothing like the feeling of seeing Trojan football suit up on a Saturday night in LA. August means football month, and what better way to prepare than with the latest hype tape featuring Post Malone and our H13sman.

🔼 Lone Star Stunners. Trojan baseball will be heading from Los Angeles to the Lone Star State to compete in the 2024 College Baseball Series at the home of the Texas Rangers. The team will open up the season with play against Arizona State, TCU, and Texas A&M as a litmus test for just how good this team can be.
🔼 Trojans at Training Camp. Our former Trojans are out at NFL Training Camp showing why USC deserves to be in the conversation as WRU.
🔼 Great Defender. USC’s Kobe Johnson is the definition of what it takes to make it in college basketball. Watch this episode of the March to Madness and how he has developed in to one of the best defenders in all of college basketball.
🔼 Watch Out. Last season’s First Team All-American, Calen Bullock, has found himself on the short list of names to watch out for the Bronko Nagurski award. The award is given to the nation’s most outstanding defensive player in college football.
Bullock, USC’s star safety, heads into the 2023-24 season off the heels of a fantastic sophomore campaign. He started all 14 games last season and accumulated 48 tackles, five pass break ups, and five interceptions - which was good enough for 11th in the nation.

Award Winners. Many of our Trojans were named to watchlists for end-of-season awards in college football, and that’s nothing new to this program.
Our question today — do you know who the last winner from USC was to win the Outland Trophy?

⚔️ TWO BIG THINGS
Caleb Williams made the 2023 Maxwell Award watchlist for the second consecutive season that awards the best player in college football. Coming off his 2022 campaign that saw him win the award, Williams is primed to have a shot at repeating for the award this season.
The reigning Heisman winner will have to keep up the pace of last season’s 4,537 passing yards, 52 total touchdowns, and 168.5 passing efficiency, which we know he is more than capable of. The list will start to shrink as the season goes on, but Williams should remain a top candidate for a long while.
Additionally both USC offensive lineman Justin Dedich and Jarrett Kingston were selected to be on the watchlist for the Outland Trophy. The award is presented to the nation’s best interior lineman on offense or defense.
Dedich comes in as the Trojan’s most experienced lineman on the roster as a redshirt senior, and Kingston is looking to make an immediate impact for the team as a transfer.
