🔼 Seven Straight. For the seventh straight match, the Women of Troy claimed a win at home to improve to 8-4 on the season. The Trojans swept Oregon State in straight sets with a .478 hitting percentage and finished with 26 more kills than their opponents.

Skylar Fields and Kalyah Williams combined for 29 kills on the match, and Lindsay Miller led the Trojans with four blocks on the match. Continuing Pac-12 play, USC will look to extend their win-streak to eight in a matchup against Utah on Friday night.

🔼 Hooked. At the Longhorn Invitational, the Trojan men’s team picked up eight victories including two singles ranked wins and one doubles ranked win. Junior Karl Lee led all players with five wins on the tournament with three of them coming from singles play.

🔼 Shutout City. After slotting two first-half goals, the Trojans opened up Pac-12 play with a 2-0 win on the road at Utah. Kayla Colbert got the scoring going early with a goal in the eighth minute and Zoe Burns finished off a beautiful sequence for the game’s second and final goal of the game.

After completing their third shutout in the last four games, the Trojans will continue Pac-12 play with a matchup against Washington State for a midweek battle.

🔼 Comeback Kids. In this weekend’s Overnght/MPSF Invite, the Trojans took third place after a buzzer-beating goal from Zach Bettino to claim the victory. After dropping their semifinal matchup, No. 3 USC bounced back with a 13-12 win over Stanford after overcoming a four-goal deficit late in the game.

Next up, USC will take on Pacific on the first day of October at Uytengsu Aquatics Center.

⚔️ ONE BIG THING

In the Trojans’ first road test of the season, USC came out on top for a tough 42-28 win.

The Trojan defense came up big, forcing two turnovers, holding Arizona State to 353 yards and most importantly, sacking the quarterback eight times. Caleb Williams shined once again with 322 yards through the air and scored five total touchdowns. Running back MarShawn Lloyd had a breakout game with 156 rushing yards, and wide receiver Brenden Rice finished as the game’s leading receiver with 133 yards and two scores.

The No. 8 Trojans will take on the Colorado Buffaloes on the road next weekend in what will be a highly anticipated matchup.
