🔼 High Noon. The Trojans are preparing for another road test for the second week in a row against one of the most talked about teams in the country, Colorado. The No. 8 Trojans will face off against the Buffaloes as FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff feature game for just the second time in program history.

🔼 Captain Clutch. After scoring the buzzer-beating goal against No. 4 ranked Stanford, USC men’s water polo’s Zach Bettino was named the MPSF Newcomer of the Week. Bettino earned his first official award as a Trojan after finishing the game with a career-high four goals, including the game-winner.

🔼 Got It Going. Trojan outside hitter London Wijay earned Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors after a career-high outing that saw her execute 24 kills, 51 attacks and score 26.5 points. It’s the first time since the 2018 season that a player has earned back-to-back Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors.

🔼 Hired On. A trio of coaches were added to three separate USC programs to help bolster each of the teams going forward.

🏀 Trojan women’s basketball added assistant coach Chris Koclanes to its staff. Koclanes brings in eight years of experience from the WNBA as well as prior experience as a member of USC’s staff.

🏖️ Volunteer assistant coach and NCAA champion athlete Emily Hansen will serve on USC beach volleyball’s staff as a full-time assistant with the team.

🏐 Similarly, Paul Martinez was elevated to a full-time role as an assistant coach the Trojan women’s basketball after several years of service.

🔼 Pair of Aces. The date is set. Trojan men’s basketball will square off against Gonzaga at the Legends of Basketball Las Vegas Invitational on Dec. 2. The two preseason top-25 teams will battle for just the fourth time where USC holds the all-time advantage two games to one.

⚔️ ONE BIG THING

After besting a field of 108 competitors at the Leadership and Golf Invitational, Trojan golfer Amari Avery was named the Pac-12 Women’s Golfer of the Week for the second time in her collegiate career.

Avery continued to make history after winning her fifth career individual title, the second-most in program history. She also carded her 23rd round in the 60s as a Trojan, breaking the record for most rounds in the 60s and becoming the all-time leader.
