🔼 Battle Back. After falling behind 1-0 at the end of the first half, the No. 19 Trojans stepped up and battled back to take a 2-1 win against top 25 ranked Washington State. Maribel Flores and Hannah Griffin contributed USC’s goals of the game with both players coming off the bench. In the 62nd minute, Flores netted a beautiful goal from the top of the box to tie things up while Griffin headed in a cross in the 78th minute to give the Trojans the lead for good.

Still undefeated in Pac-12 play, the Trojans will look to remain unbeaten this Sunday against Washington.

🔼 Back in the Water. USC rowing will be putting oar to water soon with the official release of the 2023-24 competition schedule. The Women of Troy will start the season at the historic Head of the Charles in Boston, Mass., and will continue through the fall until Nov. 12. The season will wrap up with the Pac-12 and NCAA Rowing Championships next year where the Trojans will look to make their third straight appearance.

🔼 Time and Place. The road to March Madness begins with non-conference play, and Trojan men’s basketball now has their sights set on their opponents for the start of the season. USC will face off against a slew of talent from across the country including tough matchups against Kansas State, Gonzaga and Auburn, among others.

🔼 Top Ten Test. Coming off a thrilling win in last week’s Ovrnght/MPSF Invitational, the No. 3 men’s water polo team will dive back into action against No. 10 Pacific for the first time this season.

Massimo Di Martire and Max Miller are leading the charge in the goals department with 22 and 21 respectively, while the goalkeepers are staying strong in goal, averaging 9.6 saves and 8.4 goals per game.

Electric Offense. USC football’s offense has been humming all season long. No team has been able to stop them thus far, and as long as Lincoln Riley is calling the plays, there’s a good chance there will be lots of points on the scoreboard.

⚔️ ONE BIG THING

Saturday will be the Trojans biggest game of the season thus far as the team hits the road to take on the Colorado Buffaloes as FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff game of the week.

No. 8 USC will look to play spoiler to a Colorado team that has garnered the attention of college football since the arrival of head coach Deion Sanders. Caleb Williams and company will look to put up points as the team has yet to score less than 42 all season long. The defense will look to support the high-powered offense as the nation’s top team in tackles for loss and the nation’s third-best in sacks.

The Trojans currently hold an all-time undefeated record of 16-0 against Colorado.
