🔼 What A Dub It Was. USC, in its first season of Big Ten Conference play, sent a message with the victory over LSU in the teams' first meeting in 40 years that the Trojans could be a factor after last season. Miller Moss outdueled LSU's Garrett Nussmeier, who completed 29 of 38 passes for 304 yards with two touchdowns and an interception on the final drive. Moss was similarly efficient in going 27 of 36 in a battle of QBs who waited their turns after sitting behind the two most recent Heisman Trophy winners.

🔼 Golden. USC freshman Ezra Frech took home the gold at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris, winning the T63 100m dash title. Finishing with a time 0.01 seconds off the Paralympics record, Frech won the men's T63 100m gold medal for USA by coming from behind to win the title with a personal record of 12.06. Later today, Frech will look to add more medals to his count when he competes in the T63 high jump.
🔼 Starting Strong. After picking up a sweep in the season-opener, the USC volleyball team completed a perfect weekend with a four-set win over Pepperdine to improve to 2-0. USC improved to 41-8 all-time against Pepperdine and extended its active win streak in the series to eight matches dating back to the 2006 season. Ally Batenhorst led all players in scoring with 17.5 points collected on 16 kills and two blocks (one solo) and registered her third-career double-double while Gala Trubint tied for match-high honors with 16 digs and reached double-digit digs for the 50th time in her career.
🔼 Hello, World. Nonah Waldron placed fourth in the women's 100m hurdles to highlight the Trojans' efforts during the five days of the World Athletics U20 Championships held in Lima, Peru. The USC sophomore, Waldron had a time of 13.30 (-0.3) to place fourth in the women's 100m hurdles final. Incoming freshman Shaiquan Dunn competing for Jamaica placed seventh in the men's discus throw final (1.75 kg) with a best mark of 196-2 (59.79m) in the final, and fellow incoming freshman and 2024 Olympian Tiana Eyakpobeyan placed seventh in the women's 100m final with a time of 11.63.
🔼 Off and Running. USC’s Gigi Maccagnini placed seventh to lead the USC women's cross country team to a strong third-place finish at the Waves Invitational. The Trojans tied for third last season and this season captured third alone with 73 points, trailing only Cal Poly (30) and Long Beach State (50). The course was fast and most of the Trojans posted significant 4K personal bests.
