Fresh start. JuJu Watkins has been absolutely lighting up the scoreboard to begin her freshman season, earning her second straight week of Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors and coming close to dethroning a USC legend from one of her (many) records.

Our question today—JuJu Watkins scored 35 points against LeMoyne last week. That’s the second-highest single-game total by a freshman since… who?

Think you got it? Scroll on down to the bottom of this email for the answer!

⚔️ ONE TWO BIG THINGS

Pop quiz. How many non-Trojans won Pac-12 Freshman of the Week this past week? Time’s up—the answer is zero.

🏀 Isaiah Collier was named Pac-12 Men's Freshman of the Week after helping the Trojans split a pair of games during the week by averaging 23.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists. He made 42.9 percent of this three-point attempts (3-for-7) and 76.2 percent of his free throws (16-for-21) for the week.

🏀 JuJu Watkins continues to pile up honors as her collegiate career commences, as she's grabbed back-to-back Pac-12 Freshman of the Week accolades in her first two weeks of action with the now-No. 8 Women of Troy. In last week's meeting with Le Moyne, she put up 35 points, making six 3-pointers to go along with nine rebounds and six assists—all new highs for her as a Trojan. And her 35-point outing pushed her three-game total as a Trojan to 85 points—more than Cheryl Miller (67) and Lisa Leslie (64) did in their first three games at USC.
