The Three Torches 4/14: Track & Field Breaks Records

The track and field team broke records at the Texas A&M Farms Team Invitational.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Farm Meet. The track and field team competed at the Texas A&M Farms Team Invitational. On day one, the Trojans won three events and sent three meet records. On day two, the men’s 4×100m set a school record, and the men’s 100m runners took the top five places.

🔼 The Challenge. The women’s beach volleyball team went 3-1 at the Center of Effort Challenge. The Trojans beat No. 7 Florida State 4-1, No. 3 Cal Poly 3-2 and No. 4 Loyola Marymount 3-2. They fell to No. 5 Stanford 2-3.

🔼 Court Report. The women’s tennis team beat Nebraska 4-0. The Trojans won the doubles point and three singles matches. The team had another 4-0 victory over Iowa. The team is now 13-5 overall and 7-3 in conference play.

🔼 Series Win. The baseball team won its series over Penn State. The Trojans won game two 6-3 and game three 11-6. Caden Aoki tossed seven strong innings in game two, while the batters scored six runs on 13 hits. Brayden Dowd went 2-for-4 and had two RBIs, one run and two doubles in game three.

🔼 Senior Day. The men’s tennis team beat No. 21 Michigan 4-0 on Senior Day. This was the team’s last home match of the season. The Trojans have one final weekend of regular season competition before the Big Ten Tournament.

Today’s Top Tier Performance presented by ARCO is the water polo team. The team won its 25th and 26th games of the season against No. 11 Arizona State 18-13 and No. 13 San Jose State 17-8. This was their 11th and 12th straight victory.

Keep it Low. The men’s golf team wrapped up the ASU Thunderbird Classic. The Trojans finished eighth with a score of 840 (-12).

The team fired the lowest score in the final round of __ (-6).
