🔼 Big Time. It’s going to be a fight to the NCAA Super Regional for our women’s tennis team, but with a few accolades handed down just before the tournament, it just might be the thing that gives this squad an edge.

Maddy Sieg and Eryn Cayetano earned Pac-12 All Conference First Team honors for their outstanding play throughout this season. Snow Han and Emma Charney also earned all conference awards on the Pac-12 Second Team. Grace Piper and Naomi Cheong rounded out the list of award winners earning Pac-12 All Conference Honorable Mentions. If you weren’t counting, that’s six players heading into the NCAA Tournament with some awards. Not too bad, not too bad at all.

Along with the team competition, Maddy Sieg and Eryn Cayetano were selected to compete as individuals and as a pair in the NCAA Singles and Doubles team brackets. The duo currently carry a 14-3 overall record in NCAA play.

Today competition begins with USC taking on UNLV in some first round action. The winning teams in each region will then square up on Saturday to determine who will be headed or the coveted Super Regional. Get ready for some serious action this weekend out on the court.

🔼 Defending Dedeaux. The next seven games for the USC baseball team will be hosted by the Trojans, which means it’s time to buckle down. This weekend, USC opens up the seven game stretch with a three-game series against the Oregon Ducks.

History is on the Trojans’ side in this one, with USC holding the all-time series lead 32-25. Pitchers Blake Sodersten, Caden Aoki, and Tyler Stromsborg are all projected to start this weekend, and USC is among the top-three teams in the Pac-12 when it comes to ERA at 4.28. As for the offense, Austin Overn leads the team in batting average (.344) and triples (12), a new USC record. Overn, as well as the rest of the offense, looks to get off to a hot start at the plate and put runs up early and often.

Tune in on Pac-12 Networks, or get your tickets now to see this Trojan team in action.

🔼 Back To Back. Like the women’s team, the men racked up the Pac-12 tennis awards before heading into NCAA Tournament play.

Wojtek Marek, Stefan Dostanic, and Peter Makk all earned First Team All Pac-12 honors, each player’s first first-team honors of their career. Another three-pack of Trojans earned Pac-12 honors in Lodewijk Weststrate, Bradley Frye, and Learner Tien, but this time as Honorable Mentions.

But the big winners of the team were Dostanic and Frye as they were named Pac-12 Doubles Team of the Year for a second consecutive season. The duo heads into NCAA play as the No. 13 doubles team in the nation.

The first round of action begins today on home turf with the Trojans taking on Idaho. With a win, the Trojans would face the winner of UC Santa Barbara and San Diego for a chance at a trip to Super Regionals. Stay tuned to the team’s social accounts, or head to Marks Stadium for yourself to witness USC go for their 22nd national championship.

🔼 Survive and Advance. Did you expect anything else? USC’s women’s lacrosse team is headed to the Pac-12 Championship game after defeating Arizona State.

In a low scoring affair, the Trojans showed their dominance on defense, allowing just five goals on the night thanks to a stout defense led by Emma Wightman. Four players finished the match with a multi-goal game including redshirt sophomore Isabelle Vitale’s two second half screamers.

When it was all said and done with, the Trojans came out on top by a score of 9-5, and will earn a championship date in Berkeley, CA. There’s nothing sweeter than seeing your name advance in the bracket, and now, USC has a chance to see it move on more time. Catch the Pac-12 Championship tomorrow at 12:00pm PT on Pac-12 Networks.

🔼 Star Duo. Getting in as individuals to the NCAA Regional Championships is an accomplishment both Mahanth Cirravuri and Jackson Rivera would have been satisfied with, but tack on a couple of awards, and that makes the ride that much sweeter.

The golf duo earned Pac-12 Honorable Mentions as they make their way to Morgan Hills in a couple of weeks. Cirravuri was also placed on the Pac-12 All-Freshman team thanks to a team-leading 71.95 stroke average and a trio of top-24 finishes. Competition starts May 15th, and both of these guys, with their accolades now firmly solidified, can go out and do their thing.
