🔼 Senior Night Dub. The men’s basketball team beat Washington 92-61 on Senior Night. Chibuzo Agbo led the team with 26 points, and Desmond Claude was right behind with 25 points and 11 assists. The Trojans shot 56.4% from the field and 57.7% from behind the arc. Saint Thomas reached 1,000 career points in the game.
🔼 Conference Honors. The Big Ten Conference gave multiple awards to our Trojan women’s basketball players. JuJu Watkins earned Big Ten Player of the Year. Head coach Lindsay Gottlieb earned Big Ten Coach of the Year. Kiki Iriafen and Watkins were named to the All-Big Ten First Team. Rayah Marshall and Kennedy Smith were named to the All-Big Ten Honorable Mention.
🔼 Finalist. The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame named JuJu Watkins a finalist for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Shooting Guard of the Year Award. Watkins averages 25.8 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game.
🔼 Going Pro. Former women’s soccer player Kayla Colbert signed a professional contract with the Utah Royals in the NWSL. Colbert was second in points for USC after playing 23 matches this past season. She scored six goals and had five assists.
