🔼 Holiday Wins. The No. 17 women’s basketball team played two games during the holiday break. First, the Trojans handed No. 20 Nebraska their first loss of the season. USC won 74-66 on Dec. 29. Jazzy Davidson and Kennedy Smith led the team with 17 points each. The team opened 2026 against No. 4 UCLA on Saturday. The Trojans fell 80-46.

🔼 Overtime Finale. The football team faced TCU in the Alamo Bowl on Dec. 30. The Trojans took the Horned Frogs into overtime and fell 30-27. Jayden Maiava passed for 280 yards and a touchdown. King Miller and Jaden Richardson made it to the endzone. Taniela Tupou had a two-point reception.

Today’s Top Tier Performance presented by ARCO Spencer McLachlin. McLachlin spent three years as the associate head coach at USC. He has been hired to his first head coaching position at UC San Diego. He will be the eighth head coach in UCSD program history.
